VitrineMedia LED screens prove to be the no fuss figurative red carpet for new kids on block, Barry Plant
While Barry Plant is a name synonymous with top class real estate buying, selling, property management and general service in Victoria, the name hardly warranted a mention on the South Australian landscape back in 2015.
But that’s all changed, thanks to the trailblazing Barry Plant Norwood stamping its authority on the local market via a mix of the Barry Plant business philosophy and the world-leading VitrineMedia backlit static LED screens.
Director Michael Duff established Barry Plant’s first Adelaide office on Norwood’s iconic The Parade in early 2016, with fellow directors Linda Baker and Elesa Wood. Michael remembers the three of them were taking a giant leap of faith after being colleagues at some of the city’s better-known real estate agencies.
“We knew we were the new kids on the block and understood that this being our first ‘solo’ venture, it would be easier and safer to team up with an established brand name. But such was the synergy between us and those within the Barry Plant family that we felt we just had to be a tad daring and go with an unknown – at least in the Adelaide market,” he says.
It was the Barry Plant ‘red carpet’ philosophy and its central tenets of providing the very best in customer service to ensure that all clients achieve a great result – and with the minimum of fuss – that had won them over.
Now, attention turned to establishing a profile for what was, for all intents and purposes, an alien brand.
“I remember looking at our bare office back in January 2016 and thinking that the only way forward was to live and breathe the red-carpet approach – and do so with the minimum of fuss,” he recalls.
These proved to be prophetic thoughts.
“Our head office had used VitrineMedia extensively across Victoria to the point where the company was a preferred supplier of backlit LED solutions and I was encouraged to contact the local office to see what they could do for us.”
“The synergy was again immediate and as I was taken through a presentation of the product range, the words ‘red carpet’ and ‘minimum fuss’ came into focus. Here was a company with backlit static LED screens of brightness, clarity and style, so brilliantly captivating that they roll out a figurative red carpet and invite passers-by to walk down it, to the compelling window display.”
“We learnt, too, that the VitrineMedia screens, while highly attractive in displaying properties and corporate branding messages and appearing to be high technology marvels, are in fact products of feel-good simplicity and minimum fuss.”
With the guidance of VitrineMedia on how best to present the windows for maximum impact, Barry Plant Norwood installed 12 A3 screens and two A2 screens – the former for property listings and the latter for branding and profile raising – within weeks of opening the office and more than three years on, they have not given Michael and his team a single problem.
“They are a surprisingly maintenance free ‘set-and-forget’ solution, even though the friendly people at VitrineMedia call us every now and then offering us help we have yet to need!”
Michael, Linda and Elesa are unanimous in their view that the VitrineMedia screens are one of their most judicious investments. They agree that the neat symmetrical way the screens are hung, coupled with the crisp and clean look and cool lighting, enhances the desired Barry Plant Norwood image. They further concur that the value-for-money screens have played a significant role in helping to raise Barry Plant’s profile in Adelaide and position it as agency of serious standing. And they echo the view that the screens have increased visits to their windows, contributed to a steady flow of quality leads and in a good few cases, resulted in actual sales.
“They look particularly magnificent at night, when our window glows and draws people in for a look,” he says.
“But perhaps the biggest compliment is having other real estate agents asking us about how they too can get these gorgeous window displays.
“They’ve taken us beyond where we had hoped to be after three years and we’re now at the point where we are looking to establish additional Barry Plant Real Estate offices across Adelaide – with VitrineMedia’s backlit static LED displays as the window centrepiece, of course!”
